Quest for the Graal

I have not been to this place for a very long time

Retracing my steps is not a habit of mine

But I remember the lights and I remember the voices

Remember the cost and remember the choices

Remember speed and power and cost and commotion

Emotions brewed into a magick potion

A memory of smiles within this place

And I’m lost in the jungle without a trace

I have made my sacrifice to the gods of the past

I have given all to the very last

I have seen what no-one else can see

And now at last the Graal serves me

Tonight I try to reconnect

With all that was my younger self

Hope and ego and love and confusion

The me I created from disillusion

And will that once-discovered path

Lead to a sad and hollow laugh

Or to new life that ever flows

From the Graal I seek, Lord only knows
