Rodney Orpheus

 

Rodney Orpheus was born in Northern Ireland, and in the past has lived in England and Germany and California. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

Rodney is well known as a musician and record producer. As well as fronting his own band The Cassandra Complex, he has been involved with many other successful artists, including The Future Sound of London, The Sisters of Mercy, and Die Krupps.

In recent years he has worked with many leading companies in the music technology industry as a product manager and evangelist, most notably with PreSonus, Steinberg, DTS, and iConnectivity, as well as writing a regular monthly column for Computer Music magazine. He has also lectured frequently at colleges and music business events, where his ability to present highly technical matters in an entertaining, understandable style has made him very much in demand.

Rodney is the author of two highly-regarded books published by Red Wheel / Weiser, and his writings have been published in several anthologies and magazines. His forthcoming third book is due to be published by Strange Attractor Press / MIT Press later this year.
