I've been doing involved in magick and occultism since I was in my early teens, and since then I have spent a lot of my time (and money) reading obscure dusty tomes on said subject. This led to lots of other people asking me questions about it, mainly the same questions over and over again, which meant it went from being pretty flattering to pretty boring quite rapidly. One evening in Aachen a lovely young girl named Miriam, seeing my obvious irritation at answering questions all night, asked me if I could recommend a good beginners book instead. I answered her that well, basically there wasn't one. "Then you should write one." she said matter-of-factly, "You're very good at explaining how simple it all is really."
